Martin Luther King Pool To Open On Weekends

Stay cool this summer – or even sooner -- at Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool in the Gum Spring Community of Alexandria, VA.  Operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, the pool is located in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park near Richmond Highway (Route 1) at 8115 Fordson Road.  The pool features a double slide and a children’s wading pool.

This year, the pool will open on Memorial Day weekend and open each Saturday and Sunday until Fairfax County Public Schools dismiss for the summer.  The pool will be closed Tuesdays, except for the last day of school, June 21, when the pool will be open from noon to 7 p.m.  Pool hours and closure information can be obtained by calling the pool hotline at 703-780-1912.
