Lee Boys' Varsity Soccer Beats Oakton 1-0 in Home Opener

Lancers teamwork holds off Oakton Cougars in win for high school team.

The Boys' Soccer Team was able to hold off a late charge by the Oakton Cougars Tuesday night to win 1-0 in Lee's home opener.  

After a quick restart, and some quick midfield play, senior Luis Aguilar found senior Jamie Ahmed who took one touch into space then placed a 36-yard shot into the upper-ninety with 12 minutes left. Junior Douglas Gutierrez had his first shutout of the season and had eight saves to go along with it.

The Boys Varsity Soccer Team is coached by Head Coach John Millward and Assistant Varsity Coach Elliott Millan.

The Lancers return to Lee on April 10 to take on a Patriot District foe, the Lake Braddock Bruins, at 7 p.m.
