Halle Companies still working on leasing the property.
The space where Blockbuster Video was once located at the Kingstowne Shopping Center is currently still empty. The Halle Companies is currently working on leasing the space. Neal Krysinski with The Halle Companies said he is unable to discuss what may take the place of the Blockbuster before anything is confirmed. Previously, a former manager for the local video store told Patch that the space may be a new restaurant. Krysinski didn't confirm that The Halle Companies was considering new restaurants for the space. Blockbuster Video in Kingstowne closed back in March. The video store recently closed 300 of its 800 stores.

What do you want to see take the place of Blockbuster Video?
Blockbuster Video in Kingstowne closed its doors for good March 24, and the space on Kingstowne Center next to Giant is currently vacant. Blockbuster recently closed 300 of its 800 locations. Roger L., the manager for Blockbuster at the time, said someone stopped by during their final weeks at the Kingstowne location to take measurements of the space in preparation for a new business — possibly a restaurant. Patch will keep a close eye on the progress of the space, but in the meantime, tell us in the comment section what business you'd like to see take the place of Blockbuster. Don't forget to follow Kingstowne Patch on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

Roger L. said at this point, most of the good merchandise — including the TVs — is already sold.
