Buy Nothing Day is Friday
While some people are rushing out to the malls and stores early Friday, others will be staying home to participate in "Buy Nothing Day."
Some local residents will be sleeping in and spending time with family and friends on Black Friday as a way of celebrating "Buy Nothing Day." Buy Nothing Day, like Black Friday, is traditionally the day after Thanksgiving—but instead of shopping at 4 a.m. (or earlier) in an effort to get good deals, some residents are staying home and spending time with their families Friday. One person on the Kingstowne-Rose Hill Patch Facebook page said, "There is nothing I need that badly to make me fight the crazy Black Friday crowds!
