Telegraph Station Hosts Winter Acoustic Open Mic Benefit & Toy Drive

The coffee bar partnered with Play For Change for the 2nd time to raise money

The newly opened Telegraph Station coffee shop, deli and pub hosted its second open mic night and collected toys on behalf of the Mount Vernon Christian Fellowship. The Winter Acoustic Open Mic raised money for music therapy programs in Fairfax County Public Schools and gave local musicians a chance to showcase their talents. "I think that it's a great idea. We all love music, especially local musicians and local kids," co-owner Dave Wysong said. "We're trying to be a local community bar and we want regular open mic nights." Telegraph Station partnered with Irvin Kalugdan, a music therapy teacher at Mount Vernon High School to put the fundraiser together again.
