The Rotary Club of Springfield recently donated camera recording systems to the students and faculty of The Edison Academy, one of six academies in Fairfax County and part of Edison High School. As part of their efforts to recruit new students, academy teachers and students plan to use the equipment to record hands-on project activities for portfolios and create videos to promote the academy’s programs and student organizations. Renovations to the new dining facility are complete.
The Edison Academy at Thomas Edison High School will reopen its Bistro 1093 for lunch Thursday after undergoing renovations to the dining facilities. Under the direction of Chef Glenn Walden, students will prepare three-course meals with a beverage—tea or coffee—beginning at 11:45 a.m. Starting Jan. 10, Bistro 1093 will be open every Thursday for lunch. Those interested in dining at the bistro are asked to make a reservation by Monday prior to attending.
