Pre-Order Your Fairfax County License Plate
Residents can now order new county license plates after the Board of Supervisors recently approved the new design.
Now that the Board of Supervisors has approved the new design of the Fairfax County license plates, residents can start pre-ordering them online. Residents interested in showing some county pride can download the license plate order form on Visit Fairfax and mail the form with the $25 payment to their main office. The license plates will cost $25 a year. The state will retain $10 of that price and the remaining $15 will go towards the plate sponsor, the county says. Officials estimate the plates could bring in an estimated $250,000 a year in revenue. Revenue from the plates will support the World Police and Fire Games, which the county will host in 2015.
