Despite the cold rain Saturday, members of local Brownie Troop 989 set up their Girl Scout booth outside of Giant in Kingstowne to sell Girl Scout cookies. A portion of the troop's cookie sales will benefit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, which is a part of the Wounded Warrior Project. Get the story straight. The prices have NOT changed since last year. There was no increase. They are $4. It's also NOT correct that troops keep 50 cents per box.
