Tropical Smoothie at Landsdowne Centre in Kingstowne is currently finalizing county inspections in preparation for its opening in late May or early June. The space still has a "coming soon" sign on the windows. Don Woodley, commercial leasing agent with A.J. Dwoskins & Associates, Inc. said Tropical Smoothie is scheduled to open by early June at the latest. Woodley said the permits and inspections process in Fairfax County is very long and time consuming. It's also inconvenient for the owners of any small business considering they still have to pay to lease the space while preparing to open, he noted.
