Preliminary Hearing for Joshua Franklin Scheduled for Tuesday
Franklin arranged to meet two women using an online service then allegedly raped and robbed them New Year's Day.
Joshua T. Franklin — a 24-year-old Woodbridge man charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of forcible rape — will have his preliminary hearing at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Reportedly the incident happened New Year's Day at the Extended Stay Hotel on Metropolitan Center Drive where police responded to a report of a man brandishing a gun around 6 p.m. Officers were able to track down and arrest the suspect just as he attempted to elude them. According to FCPD, Franklin arranged to meet two women using an online service, then allegedly raped and robbed the victims. The women, ages 18 and 25, did not require medical attention.
