Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur. Robbery On Feb. 3, 2012, the victim made arrangements to meet the suspect at the 6500 block of Springfield Mall to exchange a pair of shoes around 12:30 p.m. The suspect displayed a handgun, took the shoes, cell phone and credit card. Investigators with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have charged an Alexandria man and a Sterling teenager in connection with the Dec. 31 armed robbery of the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Indian Creek Drive in Dulles. On Jan. 10, Cesar A. Pisconte Jr., 21, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and participating in a criminal act to benefit a gang. A 15-year-old who was not identified was apprehended Jan. 13 and charged as a juvenile with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and participating in a criminal act to benefit a gang. Fatal Crash A Newington-area woman was involved in a single vehicle fatal crash on Saturday. On Dec. 10 around 2:30 p.m., Casey Noriega, 29, was driving southbound on Beulah Street approaching the intersection of Windsor Avenue, when for unknown reasons she drove off the road and struck a pole. Noriega was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Neither speed nor alcohol appears to be contributing factors of the crash. The …

Two men robbed six teenagers at gunpoint on Friday, Oct. 7.
A group of teenagers was robbed last Friday near Kingstowne Town Center. Kingstowne Patch reports that around 7:30 p.m. on October 7, five teenage girls and one teenage boy were walking from Kingstowne Town Center toward Lake Village Drive. Two men, both around 18 years old, approached the group while brandishing a pistol. The suspects took cell phones from two of the girls, ages 12 and 13, before they fled to Kingstowne Towne Center. The other victims were a 13-year-old boy and three 14-year-old girls. None of the victims were injured. For the full story, see Kingstowne Patch.

Robbery occurred in the early morning.
A man was robbed at gunpoint last Wednesday morning on Edsall Road. The 48-year-old victim was around Edsall Road and Indian Run Parkway on Wednesday, August 3, at roughly 4:30 a.m., when a dark sedan pulled up to him. A man got out of the car, showed that he had a handgun, and demanded money. He then fled in the vehicle. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as white and possibly Hispanic. He's around 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and his hair is medium-length. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue shirt, and sneakers.
