The Rappaport Companies said Tuesday the pizza shop will not be ready in May as previously expected.
Paisano's Pizza will not open in May as previously expected due to some delays, said Sheryl Simeck, vice president of marketing and communications for The Rappaport Companies on Tuesday. The owner of the pizza shop is currently doing construction on the space, located at the Shops at Telegraph Village across from Grounded Coffee and Festival of Flowers. The space where Paisano's will be located has been separated in recent construction work to take up only space #140, which is 1,500 sq. ft. of the whole building. Simeck said they're hoping Paisano's will be ready to open for business in June. Currently, the pizza shop is moving into the space across from Grounded Coffee, off of Telegraph Road.
Paisano's Pizza is preparing to open in May, said Sheryl Simeck, vice president of marketing and communications for The Rappaport Companies. The pizza shop recently leased a portion of the old karate studio across from Grounded Coffee and Festival of Flowers at Shops at Telegraph Village. At the moment, the owner is doing some construction to separate the two spaces, because Paisano's will only take up space #140, which is 1,500 sq. ft. of the whole building. Simeck said in an email Thursday that The Rappaport Companies do not currently have any other leases to announce for the rest of the building space in the shopping center. The pizza place recently signed a lease for a portion of the space.
It's official. Paisano's Pizza will lease 1,500 square feet of the building at Shops at Telegraph Village where Capitol Martial Arts Academy was previously located. Sheryl Simeck, vice president of marketing and communications for The Rappaport Companies said Paisano's will take up a portion of space 140 of the building, which is the pad site building on the retail level of the center. Paisano's recently signed a lease, but an opening date has not been discussed at this time. The closest Paisano's locations to Kingstowne are currently located in Alexandria on South Van Dorn Street and in Springfield on Backlick Road. The Rappaport Companies is still looking to lease the location of the old martial arts studio.
The property at Shops at Telegraph Village where the Capitol Martial Arts Academy was once located is currently still vacant. The Rappaport Companies — the real estate service company for the property — is currently trying to lease the location. Sheryl Simeck, vice president of marketing and communications for Rappaport said the company doesn't have any new leases to announce at this time. Simeck said she's unable to provide information about when they hope to have the property leased. However, the company is actively marketing the space.
