Weekly Crime Report: Police Search for Peeping Tom Near Clermont Drive

On the above map, the addresses are block numbers, not specific home or business addresses. The following items are from recent police updates through Feb. 27 from the Franconia Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department. Peeping (purple on map), 12:35 a.m., Feb. 25, 5500 block of Clermont Drive, A 26-year-old reported she was in her bedroom when she saw a man looking through the window at her. A K-9 team and the helicopter assisted in searching for the man. No one was found. In separate and unrelated incidents: Shoplifting (blue on map), 3:40 p.m., Feb. 22, 6600 block of Frontier Drive, Officers assisted a loss prevention officer who was chasing a suspect out of the store for allegedly stealing merchandise. Weekly Crime Report: Man Assaulted After Verbal Exchange with Suspect

The following items are from recent police updates through Feb. 20 from the Franconia Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department. Assault (blue on map), 12:20 p.m., Feb. 16, 6200 block of Backlick Road, A 29-year-old man entered into a verbal exchange with another man in a parking lot. The discussion led to the 29-year-old being cut. The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries. There is no description of the suspect. Burglary (red on map), 4:25 a.m., Feb. 19, 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive, Officers responded for an alarm and found the front door of the business smashed out. Several phones were stolen.
