Franconia Museum to Host Annual History Day on Sunday
Latest "Franconia Remembers" book to be released.
The Franconia Museum will host its annual History Day event this weekend on Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Franconia Volunteer Fire Department. The free event will also mark the release of the latest book in the Franconia Museum's “Franconia Remembers” book series, according to a press release. The book, titled “Volume VII” is described as “a history of the Franconia VFD from its beginnings in 1934... It includes chapters on the early days, significant events, fundraisers, carnivals and parades. Mostly it is a testament to the volunteer spirit that built Franconia VFD and remains in force today.” The book costs $26.25 (with tax) and will be on sale at the Franconia Museum and online through the museum’s website.
