ReplyI don't usually stay in the room with my kids while they attend programs at the library, but I stayed for this one because it sounded especially interesting. Mr. Lloyd is a gifted storyteller who brings Civil War history to a level that young children can connect with. My kids learned a lot today - and so did I!

ReplyI probably shop at Borders and Barnes & Noble equally, and I am sad to hear that Borders is going out of business. Is B&N next? I sincerely hope not.

On the article The Lorton Perspective: One Thing We Love and One Thing We'd Change About Lorton

ReplyOur family has lived in Lorton for just over a year, and we have really grown to love it! I enjoy taking my children to the Lorton Community Library, and we also love to shop at the local Farmers Market on Sundays. If I could change one thing about Lorton it would be to restrict the large vehicle traffic that travels down Gunston Cove Road where it turns off of Route 1. This area is now primarily residential, and it is time to stop the heavy, high-speed traffic that uses Gunston Cove Road as a shortcut to get to I-95 for the safety of those who live there.
