Robert (Bob) Riccio, a Northern Virginia lifer, has been a freelance writer since 1987. He has written for the Washington Post, L.A. Times, USA Today, FIFA News & Magazine, Business Age and several other magazines and journals in the US and abroad. Bob was born in the Caribbean and grew up abroad, as a US Foreign Service brat, in Europe and Latin America. He is trilingual (English, Spanish, and Portuguese), and has three Masters: in Communication (journalism, knowledge management and organizational behavior), and International Public Administration from USC, and Latin American Studies from GWU. Bob, a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, enjoys writing about travel, food, parenting, soccer, business, and history. His hobbies are spending time with his wife and twins and discovering new or historic people, places, and events which would make for great stories.
