Todd Smith was born in Gadsden, Alabama and moved to Herndon at the age of 8, and became an avid sport fan after attending his first Redskins game shortly thereafter. He has a BA in Communications: Media Production & Critique from George Mason University.

For several years, Todd lived in Los Angeles working in television and film production where he wrote script coverage, story development, and pitches. He also enjoyed acting in commercials, music videos, features and short films. He moved back to his hometown to complete his degree and pursue a career in sports writing.

Todd is a true film buff, loves swimming, has gone skydiving a few times and enjoys meeting and learning about new people.
