Franconia Moose Presents a CatJam to Support Mt. Eagle Elementary School PTO
The Franconia Moose Family Center LOOM 1076 in Kingstowne will be hosting a CatJam on November 6, 2014 at 8:00PM! The CatJam is a blend of Bluegrass, Folk, and Classic Rock performed by local musicians. There is no cover charge and all are encouraged to attend.
All tips will benefit the Mt. Eagle Elementary School PTO. The proceeds will support the Mt. Eagle Elementary School’s field trips. Nearly all field trip money is provided by parents and the PTO. The county school system no longer allocates money in the budget for these types of activities. Mt. Eagle is a Title 1 school, meaning, that 80% of the students are at or below the poverty level. So, as you can imagine, the PTO raises funds for the children to attend field trips.
The CatJam group has been performing locally since October 2010. The group jams for tips which are completely donated to charity. “Give a penny, give a dime, into the kitty jar” for charity!
