On April 5 around 6 p.m., there was a report of destruction of property at the Franconia-Springfield station. Another destruction of property was reported at the station on April 6.

Around 7:50 a.m. on April 10, a ticket was issued at the Van Dorn Street station when a Metro traveler attempted to avoid paying to travel on the system. It was the only crime reported at the station in April.
In March, a report released by Metro that the Franconia-Springfield station had more crime in 2011 than any other station in Virginia.
