Kingstowne Credit Union Robbed

Police hope to use surveillance image to find suspect

A Kingstowne credit union was robbed Friday afternoon, and police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect.

The suspect, described as a black woman in her 40's, entered the Apple Federal Credit Union at 6831 Sir Viceroy Drive around 12:30 p.m. She told the teller, a 22-year-old woman, to give her money.

The teller complied, and the suspect left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as having a heavy build and being around 5 feet 5 inches tall. She was wearing a dark-colored hat, blue jeans, and a large blue shirt.

In a press release, the Fairfax County Police Department asked for help identifying the woman:
