Every week, the Franconia Police District releases a list of reported crimes in the area, and Patch highlights some. Here's the blotter from May 29 to June 4.

Notable

Destruction of Private Property: On May 29, tires on twelve vehicles were slashed at the intersection of Barclay Drive and Ians Way.

Stolen iPod: On May 31, two students stole an iPod Touch from a locker room on the 6400 block of Franconia Road.

Counterfeit Bills: Someone tried to pass four fake twenty-dollar bills on May 30, on the 5500 block of Franconia Road.

Larceny: On May 31, a parent of a student involved in a drama booster club on the 6500 block of Franconia Road reported that a business that was supposedly raising money for the boosters never provided the money. 

Woman Hit With Brick: On May 31 in the 7000 block of High Street, a woman was hit in the face with a brick.

 

Kingstowne

Destruction of Private Property, 6100 BLOCK OF MANCHESTER PARK CIR, 5/29/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the air in his tires had been let out and that his rear passenger window, front passenger seat, and the soft top above the front passenger seat had been cut.

Destruction of Private Property, LAKE VILLAGE DR / WENDRON WAY, 5/29/11. An individual reported that two of his tires had been slashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 BLOCK OF ALDERMAN DR, 5/29/11. An individual reported that her patio glass had been shattered.

Drugs, 7700 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 5/29/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, 6900 BLOCK OF CROMARTY DR, 5/30/11. A vehicle’s tire had been punctured.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 BLOCK OF IRWELL LN, 5/30/11. An individual reported that his driver’s side tires had been slashed.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 5/30/11. An individual reported that his cell phone had been stolen from a recreational center.

Drugs, 6200 BLOCK OF MANCHESTER LAKES DR, 5/31/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5800 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 5/31/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, CASTLEWELLAN DR / DUNSTABLE LN, 5/31/11. An individual attempted to purchase a television in cash but, after handing over the cash, the seller took off with the money.

Auto Theft, 5900 BLOCK OF SAINT GILES WAY, 6/1/11. An individual reported that her son’s motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot.

Destruction of Private Property, 7400 BLOCK OF HEATHERFIELD LN, 6/1/11. An individual reported that his front, driver’s side window had been shattered.

Destruction of Public Property, 6600 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 6/1/11. Graffiti was spray-painted on the side of an amphitheatre.

Drugs, 7600 BLOCK OF NEWINGTON RD, 6/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 7900 BLOCK OF HILL PARK CT, 6/1/11. A suspect removed two tires from the driver’s side of a parked vehicle.

Larceny, 7600 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 6/2/11. A student reported that her Blackberry Curve was stolen from her purse.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 6/3/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6100 BLOCK OF CHARLES ARRINGTON DR, 6/3/11. An individual reported that a locked container filled with tools had been broken into and a trailer, which contained numerous pieces of equipment, was missing.

Larceny, HAYFIELD RD / MANCHESTER BLVD, 6/3/11. A restaurant manager reported that an individual had walked out on his bill.

Fraud, 6500 BLOCK OF RUNDALE CT, 6/4/11. An individual’s daughter admitted to using her mother’s credit card without permission.

Larceny, 5900 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 6/4/11. An individual reported that his bicycle computer was stolen off of his bicycle.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 7900 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 6/4/11. An individual reported that one of his golf carts and flood lights were damaged.

 

Franconia/Rose Hill

Destruction of Private Property, 11200 BLOCK OF JAMES SWART CIR, 5/30/11. An individual reported that his tire was slashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6400 BLOCK OF HIGHLAND DR, 5/30/11. An individual reported that his vehicle was damaged.

Drugs, 6100 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/30/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Forgery, 5500 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/30/11. An individual was passed four fake twenty-dollar bills.

Destruction of Private Property, 7100 BLOCK OF BEULAH ST, 5/31/11. An individual reported that a suspect threw a flower pot at her door.

Larceny, 6500 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/31/11. The parent of a high school student involved in the drama boosters reported that a business, which was supposed to have been donating proceeds to the boosters club, had failed to provide the money.

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/31/11. Two students stole an iPod Touch from a locker room.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 5/31/11. Three individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF MERIWETHER LN, 6/2/11. A suspect broke into two vehicles and stole a voided check and a prepaid debit card.

Destruction of Private Property, 6900 BLOCK OF ADMETUS CT, 6/3/11. An individual reported that his window had been broken.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/3/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 6/4/11. An individual reported that his iPod, cash, credit cards, and various other items were stolen from his two vehicles.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 4300 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 6/4/11. An individual’s estranged husband drove off with a child in a vehicle he was not authorized to operate.


East Springfield

Drunk in Public, 6800 BLOCK OF LYNBROOK DR, 5/30/11. An individual was found to be intoxicated in public.

Destruction of Private Property, 7200 BLOCK OF COMMERCE ST, 5/31/11. An individual was escorting an intoxicated individual home when the suspect became very angry and broke a partition separating a bathroom and hallway.

Weapons, 7000 BLOCK OF HIGHLAND ST, 5/31/11. An individual reported that someone had hit his ex-wife in the face with a brick.

Drugs, BACKLICK RD / CABIN JOHN RD, 6/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 7400 BLOCK OF MONTICELLO BLVD, 6/1/11. An individual reported that jewelry was missing from her dresser drawer.

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 6/1/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, COMMERCE ST / OLD KEENE MILL RD, 6/3/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5400 BLOCK OF INDUSTRIAL DR, 6/3/11. An individual reported that one of his company trucks had been broken into and that tools/equipment were stolen.

Destruction, 7200 BLOCK OF HOOES RD, 6/4/11. Various areas of a park were spray painted.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 BLOCK OF BRANDON AVE, 6/4/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that it had been vandalized. A ceramic figurine was used and left at the scene.

 

 

Annandale/Bren Mar

Burglary, 4600 BLOCK OF LOGSDON DR, 5/29/11. Two individuals who were house-sitting entered the home to find two suspects inside.

Auto Theft, 4300 BLOCK OF RAVENSWORTH RD, 5/31/11. An individual reported that his locked vehicle was stolen from a parking lot.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 BLOCK OF BERYL RD, 5/31/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find dents on the driver’s side door.

Drugs, 4300 BLOCK OF RAVENSWORTH RD, 5/31/11. An individual was observed purchasing marijuana.

Drugs, 7000 BLOCK OF BRADDOCK RD, 5/31/11. A student was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 7100 BLOCK OF WILBURDALE DR, 5/31/11. An individual reported that a sign was stolen from the front of his home.

Drugs, 4300 BLOCK OF RAVENSWORTH RD, 6/1/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6500 BLOCK OF BREN MAR DR, 6/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 7000 BLOCK OF LARRLYN DR, 6/1/11. An individual reported that a box of documents, two rings, and a diamond bracelet had been stolen from her home.

Drugs, CONWELL DR / LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 6/2/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, 7100 BLOCK OF WIMSATT RD, 6/3/11. An individual reported that their sunroof was pried open, which caused it to break and malfunction.

Robbery, 4500 BLOCK OF CONWELL DR, 6/3/11. An individual reported that his cell phone had been taken by force.

 

Lorton

Auto Theft, 7600 BLOCK OF FAIRFIELD WOODS CT, 5/29/11. An individual reported his vehicle stolen, after leaving it in front of his apartment with the keys in the ignition.

Disorderly Conduct, 7300 BLOCK OF RHONDDA DR, 5/29/11. An individual reported that his friend’s ex- boyfriend was harassing them and making threats.

Larceny, 6500 BLOCK OF POHICK BAY DR, 5/29/11. An individual reported that her wallet, which contained her personal documents as well as her children’s social security cards, was missing from her purse at a picnic.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 7400 BLOCK OF LARNE LN, 5/29/11. An individual reported that his daughter took his vehicle and had not returned.

Destruction of Private Property, 9200 BLOCK OF ASHLAND WOODS LN, 5/30/11. An individual reported that her vehicle had paint thrown on it.

Destruction of Private Property, ARMISTEAD RD / RICHMOND HWY, 6/1/11. An individual reported that her grandson’s girlfriend had kicked out the front windshield of her vehicle.

Drugs, ASHLAND WOODS LN / WILDWOOD CT, 6/1/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 9400 BLOCK OF RICHMOND HWY, 6/1/11. After giving cash to the gas station attendant to apply to his gas pump, an individual reported that someone had pulled up and used the credited amount and left.

Robbery, 9400 BLOCK OF LORTON MARKET ST, 6/1/11. After brandishing a knife and a clear-colored air soft gun, a suspect demanded that individuals give up their personal effects, which included an iPod and cash.

Destruction of Private Property, 7300 BLOCK OF ARDGLASS DR, 6/2/11. A suspect threw a concrete block against the basement window of a vacant home, which is under renovation.
