Edison to Hold Craft Fair and Silent Auction

Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to stop by

Edison High School is bringing back a traditional December event later this month: the Holiday Craft Show and Silent Auction.

While construction at the school prevented the event for the past two years, the craft show is back on this year, and will be held on Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria.

"We are coming in at the last minute, but we’re very excited about it," said Mary Counts, the president of Edison's Athletic Boosters. Proceeds from the auction and craft show will be donated to Edison sports teams.

In addition to about 110 vendors, the show will feature barbeque and a bake sale. Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to appear for photographs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

"It even adds to our excitement that we’re able to have the craft show back, but we have a newly renovated school inside that just looks better every day," Counts said.
