Hayfield to Hold Meeting on Cameras in Schools

Principal Dave Tremaine writes that he supports cameras in schools

Hayfield Secondary will hold a public meeting next week on to install surveillance cameras in Fairfax County Public Schools.

The Fairfax County High School Principals Association and the Department of Facilities and Transportation Services asked the School Board to support the cameras at a meeting last week.

"The decision on whether or not to install interior cameras is ultimately that of the school board but we are hopeful that the board will approve this safety measure," Hayfield Principal Dave Tremaine wrote in an email to Hayfield community members. In the email, Tremaine asked them to join in a dialogue on the cameras at a meeting on Monday, September 26th.
